Der Job
As a Bioinformatics Scientist (m/w/d) – Immunogenomics, you combine computational biology and AI/ML approaches to drive antigen discovery and advance cancer immunotherapy research.
- Lead the analysis of clinical and preclinical datasets to identify predictive and prognostic immunogenomic features associated with disease progression and therapeutic response, contributing to next-generation antigen discovery.
- Design, develop, and continuously optimize scalable and robust computational pipelines to characterize disease-specific immunogenomic landscapes.
- Develop, train, validate, and benchmark AI/ML models to improve antigen discovery and predict immunotherapy efficacy.
- Collaborate with experimental teams to support the validation of candidate targets through molecular and immunological assays.
- Communicate scientific findings through internal discussions, international conferences, R&D reports, and peer-reviewed high-impact publications.
Das bringen Sie mit
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related data-driven discipline, combined with at least two years of postdoctoral research experience in academia or industry.
- Strong scientific expertise in immunogenomics, antigen discovery, and the application of machine learning/AI methods in biomedical research.
- Proven experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, particularly whole-exome sequencing (WES), whole-genome sequencing (WGS), and RNA-seq datasets.
- Experience in copy number variation analysis and/or tumor evolution modeling is considered a strong advantage.
- Advanced programming skills for reproducible data analysis in Python and/or R.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), workflow management tools (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake), and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute effectively across multiple interdisciplinary research projects.
- High level of scientific curiosity, motivation, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and innovative research environment.
