Der Job
As a Scientist Computational Biology (m/w/d) – Oncology, you are responsible for analyzing multi-omics data to drive cancer immunotherapy target discovery.
- Analyze large-scale genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets to identify and prioritize novel tumor-specific antigen targets for cancer immunotherapies.
- Develop and optimize computational pipelines, algorithms, and predictive models to support the discovery of antigen targets for both personalized and off-the-shelf therapeutic approaches.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to design validation strategies and support the experimental verification of candidate targets using molecular and immunological assays.
- Translate complex biological data into actionable insights that contribute to innovative target discovery programs.
- Present research findings and project updates to internal stakeholders, external collaborators, and the international scientific community.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications, presentations, and R&D reports to communicate key discoveries and project outcomes.
- Actively participate in collaborative research initiatives and help drive the advancement of next-generation cancer immunotherapy solutions.
Das bringen Sie mit
- PhD in Computational Biology, Immuno-Oncology, Bioinformatics, or a related data-driven discipline, combined with at least two years of postdoctoral experience in academia or industry.
- Strong scientific background in tumor immunology, cancer biology, and the identification and prioritization of novel immunotherapy targets.
- Proven expertise in reproducible data analysis using Python and/or R, with strong software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience in the analysis and interpretation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Solid understanding of modern computational research infrastructures, including version control systems (e.g., Git), workflow management tools (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake), relational/non-relational databases, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or contributing to research projects within interdisciplinary and collaborative environments.
- Strong motivation, scientific curiosity, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and innovative research setting.
